Amazonite is another form of feldspar related to moonstone, sunstone, and labradorite. Despite its name it is not found in the Amazon basin but can be found in many locations around the world, including Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It is a type of microcline feldspar with an unusual color, but geologists are still not certain about what causes the blue-green hue.
