Selenite
This form of selenite is also known as satin spar. It gets its name from Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon and has historically represented her soothing light. All types of selenite are variants of the mineral gypsum, which is often formed in deserts. Selenite is a mineral you do not want to leave in water as it will dissolve, but if it gets splashed it will be just fine!
