Girasol opal is a form of milky clear common opal that is great for sparking creativity in artists of all sorts. It’s formed when water seeps into silica based rocks and hardens, forming a substance close to a mineral but not quite. Unlike precious opal, girasol opal does not possess the same play of color that opal is known for as it is considered a form of common opal.
