There are many legends surrounding bloodstone from all sorts of backgrounds. Pliny the Elder said that it was used as a stone for invisibility by magicians, early Christians believed that the stone was created from Jesus’ blood, and in both Ancient Rome and India it was believed that it could stop wounds from bleeding.
